Coincidences I had to go for a mammogram this afternoon;went into the x-ray room and the nurse checked my details,asking me my date of birth. "My mother's got the same date of birth as you" she said. I was gobsmacked! Anyone experienced anything similar? Can be anything

I always find it amazing... that when a medical issue (no matter how arcane you may think it is) comes into a discussion, more than a few folks have had issues with it or know someone close to them who has. I also find it amazing how many folks I know born on February 29th.

actually I think that is too simplistic a calculation. There are not an even amount of births every day of the year. There are much higher clumps in some months which would alter the rate of probability regarding Nov x. Of course once weather, climate, natural disasters near date of conception are accounted for--well better to keep it simple I guess!

No clue on odds or probability... I just know I've met a half dozen or so of them through the years. One celebrates the xth and the xst to make up for "lost time." ;-)
